Ashby is hiring a Customer Education Program Manager, Live Learning to build and scale their live customer education program. Founded in 2025, Ashby's Customer Education function is expanding, and this is the first dedicated hire focused on live learning.
You will own the end-to-end live-learning program, bringing together existing sessions run by Startup Customer Success and Recruiting Operations Consulting teams under a unified calendar, registration process, and customer experience. Your responsibilities include:
**Program Operations & Delivery:**
- Establish a shared calendar, planning process, and consistent customer experience across 2-3 weekly sessions
- Own all operational aspects: registration, reminders, session setup, presenter preparation, live production, surveys, follow-up, and recording handoffs
- Build reusable templates and operating practices to reduce repeated work and scale the program
- Develop a clear process for evaluating, prioritizing, and developing new session ideas
**Learning Design & Content:**
- Partner with presenters and Customer Education Program Managers to define audience, intended outcomes, formats, and supporting resources
- Design learning around customer needs; develop session outlines, exercises, and facilitator guides
- Own the live-learning recording library—decide what to publish, how to organize it, and when to refresh or retire content
- Connect live sessions to broader Academy courses, playbooks, and release education
**Presenter Development & Facilitation:**
- Help subject-matter experts become effective presenters through coaching, rehearsals, and feedback
- Define what high-quality sessions look like and improve how sessions handle questions, participation, pacing, and mixed experience levels
- Host and facilitate selected sessions yourself; model effective teaching and test new formats
- Build a program that scales across multiple presenters rather than depending on you to teach every session
**Discovery, Measurement & Growth:**
- Work with Marketing on website experience, audience communications, packaging, and program connections
- Track registration, attendance, engagement, learner feedback, and operational effort
- Define the product behavior each program is intended to support and assess whether customers take action
- Use customer needs and program evidence to recommend expansion into new audiences and formats (onboarding, applied workshops, customer spotlights)
**Cross-functional Collaboration:**
- Partner with Startup CSMs and RecOps consultants on learning design, preparation, and quality
- Collaborate with Customer Education Program Managers on where live learning fits in the broader curriculum
- Work with Marketing, Operations, and systems partners on platform setup, integrations, and workflow improvements
- Report to the VP of Customer Education and align with broader go-to-market strategy
You will report directly to Jace Talamantes, who founded the Customer Education function. There is a foundation to build on and established partners to work with, alongside significant room to set direction and drive the work.
**Requirements:**
- Demonstrated ownership of recurring live education or comparable customer-facing program, with evidence of making it more useful, reliable, or scalable
- Background in customer education, product training, customer success, enablement, learning design, or webinar program management
- Proven ability to manage calendars, multiple contributors, deadlines, and dependencies while maintaining consistent customer experience
- Experience helping people learn complex topics—ability to explain clearly, use practical examples, and verify application of learning
- Comfort facilitating live sessions: guiding participation, responding to questions, adjusting approach, and handling unexpected situations
- Ability to coach other people to teach effectively; provide specific, constructive feedback; help experts translate deep knowledge into accessible learning
- Hands-on product learning: explore workflows, use documentation, test understanding, know when expert validation is needed (prior Ashby experience helpful but not required)
- Comfort with operational details of webinar/virtual-learning platforms: registration, communications, recordings, surveys, reporting; HubSpot or comparable system experience useful
- Ability to assess existing programs, recommend what to keep/change/build, and personally drive work with right partners
- Use of evidence (learner feedback, behavior) to improve and iterate
**Not a fit if:**
- You want to focus exclusively on presenting (substantial role is planning, production, systems, supporting other presenters)
- You want strategy without staying close to delivery (role includes hands-on setup, production, follow-up, troubleshooting)
- You measure success primarily by number of events delivered (Ashby cares about right customers participating, learning, and applying)
- You need an established playbook for every decision (you'll help determine how the program develops)
