Fi is a Series B pet-tech startup building real-time location tracking, activity monitoring, and behavior insights for pet owners. The company is staffed by veterans from Square, Google, Oura, Peloton, and Uber, united by a mission to transform the human-pet relationship through technology. As Culture & Events Specialist, you will own the design and execution of Fi's internal culture and employee engagement programs. This is a hands-on role spanning event planning, employee experience strategy, and cross-functional partnership. Key responsibilities include: - Plan and execute a diverse calendar of events—from large all-hands gatherings to intimate team sessions—each tied to business outcomes around retention, engagement, and mission alignment. - Manage full event logistics: venue selection, catering, activities, itineraries, and post-event feedback loops. - Travel 1–2 times monthly for offsites, venue scouting, and external events. - Emcee weekly company stand-ups, ensuring they remain tight, inclusive, and cross-departmental. - Partner with People Ops and leadership on retention and engagement programs. - Build and maintain event playbooks and templates to enable scaling. - Coordinate with Marketing on swag and brand representation at external events. - Work with HR on employee growth and development opportunities. - Research and implement peer-to-peer and top-down recognition programs. - Manage event budgets and vendor relationships. You bring 3+ years of corporate or employee engagement event planning experience, strong project management skills (Asana, Monday, or similar), and comfort managing multiple concurrent initiatives. You're a sharp communicator who can navigate all organizational levels, adapt quickly to changes, and design inclusive, accessible experiences. Startup or fast-paced company experience is valued. A genuine passion for animals and alignment with Fi's mission is important. Fi offers flexible PTO, comprehensive health coverage (medical, dental, vision), wellness perks (One Medical, Kindbody, Talkspace), a dog-friendly office, a $500 annual charity donation program (BarkBack), free Fi membership, and employee gifting programs.
