Parts Town, a fast-growing distributor of restaurant equipment, HVAC, and residential appliance parts, is seeking a Credit and Collections Specialist to join their Collections and Customer Service teams. This hybrid role is based in Fort Wayne, IN.
In this position, you will evaluate the creditworthiness of current and potential customers and review orders to assess fulfillment risk. You'll engage with customers via phone and email to evaluate orders and account status, process credit applications from a daily queue, and manage order review workflows to determine fulfillment eligibility. You'll collaborate with team members to develop strategies for cash collection and revenue generation, handle rejected or returned statements and invoices, and solve problems quickly to ensure timely cash collection.
A typical day involves customer interactions through phone and email, processing credit applications and order reviews, managing customer contact information updates, and working closely with colleagues to resolve issues and optimize collections outcomes.

REQUIREMENTS:
- 2+ years of high-volume collections and/or credit experience
- Self-motivated and customer-centric mindset
- Exceptional conflict resolution skills
- Strong phone communication skills and passion for customer service
- Amazing Microsoft Office proficiency
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Quality, high-speed internet connection at home
- Experience with SAP or other ERP software (preferred but not required)
