Shield AI, a venture-backed defense-tech company, is seeking a Creative Production Lead to design, format, and produce high-quality proposal documents, presentations, graphics, and bid materials. This role bridges technical complexity and visual communication, translating intricate information from proposal managers, business development teams, and subject-matter experts into compelling, clear visual and written assets.
Key responsibilities include creating graphics, infographics, charts, diagrams, process flows, and organizational charts for proposals and client-facing materials. You will design and format polished proposal documents, executive summaries, slide decks, and bid materials that communicate complex technical content effectively. The role requires maintaining and enhancing proposal templates, style guides, and graphic libraries while ensuring visual consistency, accuracy, accessibility, and alignment with brand standards and client requirements.
You will support proposal production through document assembly, formatting, proofreading coordination, quality checks, and final-file preparation. This includes tracking design revisions, production schedules, and submission requirements across active pursuits, as well as supporting final digital and print production including PDFs and submission-ready materials. You'll help improve design and production workflows as the proposal function scales.
Additional responsibilities include supporting BD team leadership with presentation materials, competitive intelligence gathering, and market information collaboration with sales and marketing teams. You will build and maintain reusable proposal templates, slide libraries, visual standards, and graphic asset libraries.
Required: 3+ years in graphic design, visual communications, document production, proposal support, or related field with government and international customer experience. Bachelor's degree in graphic design, visual communications, marketing, or equivalent professional experience. Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat). Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills, ability to communicate complex ideas effectively (verbally, visually, in writing), and proven leadership record. Strong collaboration and cross-level communication skills required.
Preferred: Experience supporting proposals and customer engagements, understanding of AI and robotics technology, familiarity with software products, and technical background with Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS).
