NALA is a fast-growing fintech company building cross-border payments infrastructure for the next billion users. Since 2022, the company has scaled 120x, raised $50M+ from top-tier investors, and was named to the Forbes Fintech 50 in 2025 and 2026. NALA operates two core products: a consumer app enabling cheaper, faster cross-border transfers from the UK, US, and EU to Africa and Asia, and Rafiki, a B2B payments infrastructure powering global giants like MoneyGram and Western Union. As Creative Designer, you will own the visual identity and creative output across all marketing channels. Your core mission is to make NALA's brand impossible to ignore across 25+ social pages and ~20 markets, turning fast-moving product launches into on-brand campaigns that drive measurable reach and engagement. Key responsibilities include: establishing brand consistency across website, social, paid ads, and CRM; creating and directing video end-to-end (storyboarding, motion, typography); designing illustrations, icons, characters, and visual assets; adapting creative for diverse markets (Kenya, Tanzania, Nigeria, Philippines, and beyond); shipping paid assets and learning from performance data; delivering print-ready artwork for large-format materials; and maintaining fast turnaround times (small asks same day, campaigns in days). You must have 3-4 years minimum portfolio experience including paid ads and branding work. Fluency in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and AI design tools (Higgsfield, OpenArt) is essential—prompting skill matters more than tool choice. You need hands-on video creation and editing experience, including with AI tools. Native fluency in social media is critical: you should understand viral mechanics, have a track record of posted content, and be able to analyze performance. You're proactive, take feedback constructively, communicate sharply, and work at speed. Nice-to-have skills include content that's driven viral growth, willingness to experiment with untested formats, experience designing for African and Asian audiences, and cultural fluency in those social contexts. Success metrics at 3 months: measurable lift in reach/engagement across social pages, established turnaround rhythm, and at least one product launch executed end-to-end. At 6 months: paid assets iterated across ~20 markets with clear conversion data, organic download lift, consistent brand application, and a reusable asset library.
