DuckDuckGo is seeking a Creative Design Lead to shape marketing creative across its growing portfolio of products including Duck.ai, search, browsers, and subscriptions. This is a hands-on senior designer role where you'll take full ownership of design work from concept through execution, managing multiple concurrent campaigns with minimal oversight. You'll design high-craft, on-brand creative assets using Figma and Adobe Creative Suite, driving marketing campaigns for products like App Tracking Protection and Duck.ai. The role involves navigating cross-functional stakeholders during scoping and ideation, evolving brand language with fresh creative concepts, and building reusable design systems to improve marketing production efficiency. Key responsibilities include generating original ideas and leading creative direction for marketing campaigns, communicating design concepts clearly through written project scopes, and advising fellow designers on marketing and brand execution. You'll serve as a go-to advisor for brand and marketing design across the team, helping establish DuckDuckGo's visual identity in the market. The ideal candidate brings 9+ years of hands-on marketing or advertising design experience at recognizable consumer brands (in-house or agency), with a portfolio demonstrating range, depth, and distinct creative point of view. You'll need high proficiency in design fundamentals (typography, color, composition), exceptional creativity and aesthetic judgment, and proven ability to develop original ideas and lead creative direction. Experience mentoring other designers is a plus. DuckDuckGo is a profitable, remote-first company of 300+ founded in 2008 with annual revenue exceeding $100M. The company prioritizes trust, inclusivity, and empowered project management, giving team members full ownership of their work from scoping through execution. You'll be expected to attend two in-person gatherings annually (all-hands and team retreat, 4-5 days each) and maintain a 40-hour weekly commitment with flexible scheduling.
