Plaid is seeking a Corporate Counsel to join its Business Legal team, supporting all areas of corporate law and governance for a late-stage fintech company. The role is responsible for corporate governance and Board of Directors support, including preparation of board and committee materials, maintenance of corporate records, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Key responsibilities include supporting potential IPO preparation and post-IPO SEC compliance, providing legal support for strategic corporate transactions and financing events, managing subsidiaries and affiliated entities across the US and internationally, monitoring evolving corporate and securities law, and developing internal corporate policies and governance programs. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams including Finance, HR, Stock Administration, and Compliance to address ongoing legal needs and support company-wide initiatives. This is a dynamic role requiring flexibility to handle a high volume of tasks and shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment. The candidate will report to senior counsel and provide empathetic, practical advice to business stakeholders while maintaining excellent attention to detail and strong execution capabilities.
