Salary: USD 125,000 - 160,000 / annual

H1 is a healthcare technology company on a mission to provide optimal medical insights and information to doctors globally, promoting health equity and accelerating equitable drug development. The company is scaling its inorganic growth strategy after successfully acquiring and integrating two companies over the past three years. As Corporate Development Associate, you will own the financial aspects of H1's M&A function, reporting to the SVP Finance. This is a dual-track role—both executing defined processes and identifying new opportunities. You will build and maintain financial models for target screening and valuation, manage the deal pipeline, conduct initial target assessments, and coordinate cross-functional workstreams (Finance, Legal, HR, Tax, Operations). Key responsibilities include: - Build first-draft 3-statement financial models (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow) with valuation analyses and scenario modeling to identify key value drivers - Screen inbound and sourced M&A targets, assessing strategic fit, deal size, and financial profile against investment theses - Prepare screening memos and executive-ready presentation materials for leadership and board-level reviews - Manage deal pipeline records, maintain diligence trackers, and coordinate data room access - Conduct industry research and competitive landscape analysis to identify emerging opportunities - Support post-close integration planning and portfolio performance reviews - Translate complex financial analysis into clear, actionable recommendations You are intellectually curious, ambitious, and eager to understand what makes businesses succeed or fail. You build clean, streamlined financial models and can defend every assumption. You navigate fluidly between modeling, presentation, and project management. You use AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT) to accelerate learning and analysis. You have exceptional attention to detail, strong written and verbal communication, and can manage multiple workstreams under tight deadlines. Required: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Accounting, or related field; 2–5 years in investment banking, management consulting, private equity, or corporate development; strong Excel and PowerPoint proficiency; familiarity with CapIQ and AI-based tools.
