Redis is seeking a Corporate Counsel, Commercial to join its global commercial and product legal team as the fifth member. This role offers hands-on mentorship from experienced in-house lawyers while owning commercial legal workstreams from day one. Key responsibilities include drafting, reviewing, and negotiating enterprise SaaS subscriptions, software licenses, NDAs, data processing agreements, and vendor/supplier contracts. You'll support senior counsel on complex deal structuring and negotiations, collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Procurement, Finance, Deal Desk, Product, and Security teams to align contracts with business goals and risk frameworks. The role involves supporting new product launches by drafting customer-facing terms and go-to-market agreements, advising on privacy matters and GDPR/CCPA compliance, and improving contract templates and processes through AI-powered tools. You'll report directly to the Deputy General Counsel, Commercial & International, and provide practical, business-oriented legal guidance to internal stakeholders. Redis serves over 10,000 customers worldwide, including more than 75% of the Fortune 50, creating opportunities to work on high-impact deals. Required qualifications: JD from ABA-accredited law school with active admission to a US state bar in good standing; 2–4 years of commercial, SaaS, or technology transaction experience (law firm or in-house); familiarity with data privacy laws and software licensing models; strong ownership mentality and communication skills; genuine interest in AI-based legal tools. Preferred: prior in-house experience at high-growth tech companies, undergraduate degree in business or computer science, multi-state commercial contract experience, or proficiency in French, German, Italian, Spanish, or Portuguese.
