Beacon Biosignals is transforming precision medicine for the brain through at-home EEG platforms for clinical development and diagnostics. The company combines EEG and cardiopulmonary signals to deliver reimbursable assessments for sleep and central nervous system disorders.
As Corporate Controller, you will oversee all accounting and payroll activities for this growth-stage Series B company. You will report directly to the CEO and serve as a mission-critical finance partner across the organization.
Key responsibilities include:
- Oversee month-end close process, accounting, and payroll activities
- Manage invoicing, accounts payable, and revenue recognition
- Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure GAAP compliance and regulatory adherence
- Support financial performance monitoring and variance analysis
- Prepare internal and external financial statements
- Produce KPI reporting and insights for leadership meetings
- Manage quarterly and annual payroll tax returns and ensure accurate federal, state, and local tax compliance
- Create and maintain expense policies; review and approve all expenses
- Partner with People Operations on headcount planning and projections
- Streamline accounting systems and processes for greater efficiency and accuracy
You will have opportunities to implement or optimize cloud-based finance systems and tools, supporting the company's commitment to continuous improvement and automation. The role is based in Boston or NYC with hybrid flexibility.
