Rubrik is seeking an experienced Corporate Accounting Leader to lead and scale the global corporate accounting function. This role manages the financial close process—a critical function ensuring accurate and timely financial statements for cross-functional teams including SEC reporting, FP&A, Revenue Ops, Financial Reporting, Tax, Treasury, and Sales Ops.
You will lead a team of corporate accounting professionals and collaborate with an offshore shared services team to enhance and operationalize accounting processes including payroll, benefits, commissions, leases, and capitalized software in accordance with US GAAP. The role reports to the Senior Director, Assistant Controller at Rubrik's Palo Alto headquarters.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and executing a plan to scale the global accounting close process while incorporating AI and automation to drive efficiencies
- Preparing and defending accounting positions on complex, ambiguous situations
- Leading and mentoring a team of corporate accounting professionals and offshore stakeholders
- Ensuring compliance with US GAAP, PCAOB, and SOX requirements
- Delivering high-quality, timely work product to external and internal auditors
- Driving cross-functional collaboration to solve complex problems and foster transparency and accountability
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification required
- 12+ years of relevant experience, ideally combining Big 4 public accounting with high-growth public software/technology companies
- Deep understanding of US GAAP and experience reducing close timelines without sacrificing accuracy
- Experience in SOX-compliant environments and Big 4 external audit requirements
- Proficiency with accounting tools (NetSuite, Xactly, LeaseQuery, Coupa) and Excel/Google Sheets
- Experience with AI tools and a vision for scaling efficient corporate accounting functions
