Faire is a technology wholesale platform connecting independent retailers globally with suppliers. The Core Strategy team reports directly to the CEO and tackles Faire's most urgent and complex strategic challenges, ranging from major expansion decisions to piloting high-potential new initiatives.
In this role, you will join a small, autonomous team solving ambiguous, high-stakes problems from initial framing through implementation and impact. You'll work across all business areas, combining strategic thinking, analytical rigor, product judgment, and operational execution. The work varies project-to-project but consistently involves taking complex problems, creating clarity, and driving real-world outcomes. Recent examples include driving the decision to launch Faire Source and building the program from the ground up with a cross-functional team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Taking ambiguous, high-stakes problems from first framing through implementation
- Breaking down complex questions from first principles using analytical rigor, customer insight, and collaboration with internal and external experts
- Raising the bar on how the team uses AI to reach better answers faster
- Collaborating closely with product, analytics, marketing, finance, and operations teams to solve problems and drive execution
- Identifying and unblocking cross-functional dependencies early
- Presenting recommendations and debating implications with Faire's executive team to guide key company decisions
- Shaping the culture and capabilities of the Core Strategy team through process improvement, mentoring teammates, and setting high standards for excellence
You'll be equally comfortable unpacking board-level strategy questions and running scrappy pilots. Success means creating clarity and seeing that clarity through to measurable impact.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of experience in consulting, business operations, product, strategy, or analytics roles
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to identify and synthesize insights from data
- Deep analytical toolkit with strong proficiency in Excel, SQL, and AI tools
- Executive-level communication skills—ability to express ideas clearly and succinctly verbally and in writing
- Excellent at breaking down unstructured problems and synthesizing disparate information sources into simple, thoughtful answers
- Strong business judgment with ability to think across every dimension of the business
- Experience with quantitative and qualitative consumer and market research techniques
- Ability to operate with high degree of autonomy and ownership
- Curiosity, low ego, and willingness to learn from a wide range of people
