Datadog's Technical Content team is seeking a Content Optimization Specialist to grow the company's visibility across traditional search and AI-assisted search platforms. As part of the Community organization, you will optimize written and video technical content for search engines, answer engines, generative engines, and AI/LLM experiences while identifying new opportunities as audience needs and search behavior evolve. You will translate complex technical concepts into clear, well-structured content that aligns with audience-specific search intent. Your responsibilities include managing on-page content optimization (metadata, structure, internal linking), analyzing how Datadog content is surfaced and cited across AI-assisted search and agentic platforms, and using those findings to guide optimization strategy. You'll conduct keyword research and content gap analysis to inform content production, create content briefs and outlines that turn research into clear development requirements, and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders across Community, Marketing, and Product Management teams to ensure alignment with SEO/AEO/GEO best practices. You will monitor and report on content optimization results, highlighting gains, losses, and opportunities across search rankings, earned citations, AI visibility, traffic, and user engagement. The role operates on a hybrid schedule with three days per week in the office. Datadog is the leading observability and security platform for the AI era, providing unified visibility across the technology stack. The company is trusted globally by Fortune 500 companies and high-growth AI leaders. **Requirements:** - 3–5 years of hands-on SEO experience with a focus on on-page content optimization - 1–2 years of experience optimizing content for AI-assisted search and agentic platforms (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Codex, etc.) - 2–5 years of experience as a technical content writer, journalist, or content strategist at an AI or SaaS company - Experience creating high-volume, technically accurate content for engineering and developer audiences - Portfolio demonstrating content development and measurable business results - Proficiency with SEO/AEO tools such as Profound, Conductor, Semrush, Ahrefs, and Google Search Console - Stay current on SEO, AEO, GEO, and AI trends and ability to translate industry changes into opportunities
