Inkitt is seeking a Content Operations & Strategy Manager to lead the narrative direction and operational execution of the Galatea story catalogue across 10 local markets. This role bridges creative storytelling with data-driven decision-making, requiring someone who understands both the art of narrative and the science of user analytics.
You will own production efficiency by building workflows that reduce costs while maintaining quality standards, ensuring content is delivered on time and within budget. You'll incorporate AI into operations to drive cost efficiency, format innovation, and operational excellence. A key part of your mandate is identifying content sourcing opportunities and partnerships with brands, publishers, and authors that demonstrably impact app growth and retention.
Your analytical work will translate complex user behavior data into actionable content strategy recommendations. You'll collaborate closely with the writer's room and editorial teams to ensure creative output aligns with user-derived insights, fostering a culture where data and creativity coexist. You'll also work with the marketing team to leverage content for user acquisition and retention across paid and organic channels, while tailoring strategies to resonate culturally across each local market.
This is a cross-functional leadership role requiring strong project management, the ability to work effectively with creative teams, and exceptional communication skills to convey complex ideas to both analytical and creative stakeholders.
REQUIREMENTS:
- MBA or advanced degree in a relevant field (preferred)
- Extensive experience in content strategy, preferably in a tech-driven, analytically rigorous environment
- Startup experience (preferred)
- Professional experience with a media business
- Proven ability to work with creative teams
- Exceptional analytical skills with talent for translating data into actions
- Strong leadership skills to manage cross-functional teams and projects
- Excellent communication skills
- Must be able to work 5 days onsite in San Francisco, CA
