MaintainX, now part of Autodesk Operations Solutions, is a mobile-first work execution platform used by 13,000+ customers including Duracell, McDonald's, Shell, DHL, and Volvo to reduce unplanned downtime and optimize operations across 13.9 million managed assets and 79.5 million completed work orders.
As a Solutions Consultant for the mid-market segment, you will bridge the gap between prospects and the product by creating personalized demonstrations, loading real customer data into test environments, and translating complex maintenance workflows into clear value propositions for operators, plant directors, and executives.
You will join MaintainX's solutions consulting team as a technical partner to mid-market account directors. The team owns all technical aspects from initial discovery through contract signature: discovery calls, custom demonstrations, RFP responses, questionnaires, trials, and technical validation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead discovery sessions with account directors to map workflows, identify friction points, and understand decision-makers, then build demonstration and evaluation plans accordingly.
- Deliver customized demonstrations and hands-on trials, loading customer asset data so stakeholders see their operations reflected in MaintainX.
- Drive technical validation and proof-of-concept initiatives across multi-stakeholder cycles, answering product, security, and integration questions accurately to prevent deals from stalling.
- Collaborate with the Professional Services team on customer-specific integrations with third-party software when required.
- Keep demonstrations, content, and sales materials current as the product evolves (approximately three updates per week), and coach account directors on product knowledge and positioning.
You will work closely with product marketing, product management, engineering, implementation, and support teams, sharing customer insights to shape product direction and messaging. Within 6–12 months, you will support end-to-end mid-market evaluations, account directors will bring you in early on deals, and customer feedback you gather will influence product and go-to-market strategy.
This role requires managing and supporting a portfolio of established customers primarily in English-speaking markets (US and English Canada), necessitating daily verbal and written English communication with customers. The role also includes customer site visits.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in technical sales, solutions engineering, implementation, or solutions design.
- Work experience in manufacturing, industrial operations, or warehousing sectors, or proven sales experience to these sectors, with genuine exposure to operational workflows.
- Demonstrated experience leading multi-stakeholder evaluations from discovery through demonstration and technical validation.
- Ability to adapt your approach for technicians, plant directors, and executives or finance leaders within the same deal.
- Comfort presenting to diverse audiences and holding their attention.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail managing multiple active deals simultaneously.
Desirable:
- Experience with CMMS, ERP, or facilities management software.
- Fluency in French and/or Portuguese or another language.
- Knowledge of Salesforce, Opine, or similar sales tools.
