As a Customer Success Consultant for Finance & Digitalization, you will be the voice of Pennylane's customers in Germany, responsible for their success with the platform. Your core responsibilities include:
• Customer Onboarding: Lead comprehensive onboarding of new customers (both SMEs and accounting firms) onto the Pennylane platform, ensuring rapid time-to-value and adoption.
• Account Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for existing customers, building trusted relationships, identifying upsell opportunities, and ensuring optimal platform utilization to achieve their business goals.
• Proactive Engagement: Conduct regular health checks and business reviews to maximize customer satisfaction, retention, and prevent churn through strategic guidance.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with the German sales team and management to optimize processes, provide product feedback, and contribute to Pennylane's strategic growth in the German market.
• Product Expertise: Develop deep expertise in the German financial and accounting landscape, becoming a trusted advisor to customers on best practices and regulatory considerations.
You bring 2-5 years of professional experience in accounting, account management, or customer-facing roles, ideally in accounting firm environments or SaaS/fintech sectors. You hold relevant credentials such as Steuerfachangestellter, Steuerfachwirt, Steuerberater, or a finance-related degree. You possess deep understanding of SME and accounting firm needs around finance, invoicing, and bookkeeping. Strong communication skills, empathy, and ability to explain complex concepts simply are essential. You are proactive, solution-oriented, and comfortable shaping processes from the ground up as part of an early-stage German team. You are willing to travel monthly within Germany for customer onboarding and to Paris HQ. Native or fluent German (C2) and fluent English are required.
