KAYAK, part of Booking Holdings and the world's leading travel search engine, is building a creative hub in London and seeking a Conceptual Designer to lead visual direction across UK and EMEA campaigns. You'll be the visual engine of the studio, conceiving and developing original visual concepts for multi-channel campaigns spanning out-of-home advertising, social media, and short-form video content.
In this role, you'll own the visual direction of creative work from initial concept through final execution, ensuring consistency and integrity across production and adaptation. You'll partner closely with a Conceptual Copywriter to develop integrated creative ideas from ideation through delivery. Your responsibilities include translating briefs and brand strategy into visually compelling concepts that cut through in a competitive market, maintaining high aesthetic standards, and presenting creative work to stakeholders with clarity and confidence.
You'll collaborate cross-functionally with video editors, campaign managers, and performance marketers to ensure concepts are both ambitious and executable. The role requires active participation in concept sessions, leveraging AI tools for rapid moodboarding and visual exploration, and staying current with emerging creative technologies and cultural trends.
You bring 5-7+ years of creative career experience as a designer or art director, with a strong portfolio rooted in campaign work rather than product or UI design. You have deep knowledge of advertising formats and how visual ideas must be tailored across OOH, social, and short-form content. You're proficient in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite, with experience in motion graphics or video editing as a strong plus. You possess strong aesthetic sensibility, a clear visual point of view, and the ability to push creative work further. You're a collaborative partner who gives and receives feedback constructively, understands that great work serves business goals, and thrives in cross-cultural teams. You can pitch visual concepts clearly and adapt with grace as briefs evolve. You're curious about AI as a creative tool and open to using generative AI for ideation and concept exploration with strong judgment about when it enhances work. Experience with cinematography, film production, or motion design is valued.
The role is based in the London office 3 days per week, offering flexibility to work from almost anywhere up to 20 days annually. Benefits include 5 weeks paid vacation, private health and dental insurance, pension contributions, company-paid therapy and wellness subscriptions, paid parental leave, development dollars, and career growth opportunities.
