Hims & Hers, a leading telehealth and wellness platform (NYSE: HIMS), is seeking a Compounding Pharmacist to supervise all compounding activities at their Mesa, Arizona facility. This role reports to the Head Compounding Pharmacist and Pharmacist-In-Charge, overseeing pharmacy technicians and support personnel in a fast-paced compounding laboratory.
Key responsibilities include directly supervising compounding personnel; performing and documenting compounding procedures, quality assurance/quality control checks, and dispensing of compounded preparations; verifying formula records, compounding records, beyond-use dates, and finished products; training and evaluating compounding staff; coordinating equipment calibration and maintenance; and ensuring compliance with USP <795>, <800>, and all federal and state pharmacy regulations.
You will maintain a safety-first mindset, work with hazardous chemicals in accordance with USP <800>, wear required PPE, and participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives. Additional duties include patient consultation, error documentation, drug utilization reviews, technician workflow management, and maintaining a clean, sanitary work environment per FDA standards.
The position operates Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM, with flexibility for other shift options. You must be able to stand for extended periods, lift at least 25 pounds, work with small delicate machinery, and undergo respirator fit testing (full beards may prevent proper seal).
Required qualifications: Bachelor's or Doctorate in Pharmacy, active Arizona pharmacist license, strong knowledge of state and federal pharmacy laws, strong math skills, proficiency in English and Windows-based systems, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Mail service/mail order pharmacy experience and multi-state licensure are preferred.
