Saronic Technologies, founded in 2022 and headquartered in Austin, is developing autonomous surface vessels for maritime defense. The Compliance Program Manager will report to the Head of Compliance and serve as a critical operational hub for the company's compliance function during a period of rapid growth.
The role centers on running complex, end-to-end compliance projects—scoping, tracking milestones, managing dependencies, and ensuring on-time delivery. You will coordinate across all departments (Legal, Engineering, Security, Supply Chain, Production, Mission Operations, People, Finance) to advance compliance initiatives and support the organization's scaling.
Key responsibilities include: managing compliance projects from conception to completion; coordinating cross-functional work and tracking team commitments; designing and building internal compliance tools, workflows, and tracking systems for export controls, spectrum authorization, ethics/gifts, anti-bribery/anti-corruption, investigations, and international compliance; dispositioning compliance requests; providing project management and documentation support for internal investigations; translating compliance requirements into actionable guidance for technical and commercial teams; and developing reporting and metrics on program health, gaps, and outcomes.
You should bring substantial project management and organizational rigor from roles such as program management, product management, business operations, consulting, chief of staff, military service, or legal/compliance operations. A track record of delivering complex, multi-stakeholder projects is essential. You must have strong attention to detail, sound judgment on prioritization, effective written communication, and the ability to build cross-functional relationships while navigating competing priorities in a fast-moving environment where processes are still being built.
Preferred qualifications include experience in legal, compliance, regulatory, or international trade functions; familiarity with export controls, defense acquisition, or regulated hardware environments; experience at a hyper-scaling company; and technical fluency sufficient to scope and execute internal tooling development.
