Twilio is seeking a Compliance Operations Specialist to join its fraud and abuse prevention team. In this role, you will investigate cases of non-compliant activity on Twilio's communications platform (voice, SMS, KYC), ensuring all traffic adheres to Twilio's Voice Policy, Messaging Policy, Acceptable Use Policy, and CTIA requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting rapid investigations and analysis to understand bad actor behavior and develop expertise in compliance investigations
- Identifying and stopping non-compliant activity and bad actors while minimizing false positives
- Analyzing call detail records and aggregate traffic data to detect patterns and trends
- Identifying root causes and recommending preventative solutions to stop abuse
- Resolving urgent issues impacting businesses, carriers, and consumers globally
- Using Twilio's investigative tools to detect and prevent non-compliant activity
- Providing customer support via email to ensure excellent customer experience
You will work a non-traditional schedule (Tuesday–Saturday) and may be required to work holidays. This is a remote-based role located in Estonia, though ad-hoc in-person attendance may be requested for team gatherings or customer meetings.
Required qualifications: 1–2 years of experience in KYC, fraud, abuse, or compliance in ecommerce, fintech, or telecommunications; ability to work in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with strong bias for action; empathy and customer-focused mindset backed by data; detail-oriented with excellent organizational and communication skills; willingness to collaborate with industry partners.
Desired skills include basic SQL, Looker, Tableau, or similar data tools; understanding of APIs and related technologies; telecommunications background.
