Abridge is seeking an experienced Compensation Manager to build and own the company's compensation strategy as a foundational hire for the People Operations team. The role requires deep expertise in designing competitive, scalable compensation frameworks that attract, motivate, and reward talent as the company scales.
Key responsibilities include conducting market benchmarking and modeling using appropriate peer groups to inform compensation program design; setting and owning the cadence for refreshing compensation bands to ensure market competitiveness; developing well-informed perspectives on compensation structure including executive compensation frameworks; translating compensation data into actionable insights for leadership and hiring managers; advising on sales and go-to-market compensation design including OTE structuring; partnering with Finance and Recruiting to design salary structures, incentive plans, and governance; building scalable frameworks and tools; and proactively tracking market trends in the AI and tech space.
The ideal candidate brings 6+ years of compensation experience at high-growth tech or AI companies with real program ownership (not just analytics). Required skills include deep Excel proficiency (modeling, VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH), ability to build and defend benchmarking approaches and peer groups, strong sales compensation expertise (OTE design, bonus structuring), command of compensation fundamentals (job matching, market pricing, leveling, job architecture, cyclical programs), experience designing equity and compensation frameworks across public and private structures, and excellent communication skills to translate complex analysis for business leaders.
