Atoms is building Physical AI—real-world robots for industries including food, mining, and transport. The company integrates hardware, software, AI, operations, and manufacturing to deploy intelligent systems at scale.
As a Compensation Business Partner, you'll serve as a strategic partner to defined business units and their HR teams, reporting to the Head of Compensation. This is a highly visible role with significant autonomy to shape compensation strategy tailored to Atoms' unique needs rather than applying generic best practices.
Key responsibilities include:
- Partner deeply with business unit leaders and HRBPs to understand talent needs and organizational dynamics, translating insights into compensation recommendations aligned with company goals
- Support end-to-end execution of core compensation programs including annual cycles and promotion cycles
- Bring an AI-first mindset to help build and automate compensation workflows, freeing the team to focus on strategic problems
- Synthesize and analyze complex data from multiple sources to generate actionable insights
- Contribute to data products that provide real-time strategic insight
- Address complex compensation inquiries with sound judgment and data-driven approaches
- Partner with HRIS and Total Rewards Operations to ensure operational excellence and data integrity in systems like Workday
- Support cross-functional teams through organizational change and transformation
- Share knowledge and strengthen compensation literacy across the organization
You'll need 5–7 years of progressive experience in global compensation, total rewards, or human capital management consulting (7–10 years total professional experience). Strong knowledge of U.S. compensation regulations and compliance is essential. Expert-level proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets is required, along with the ability to translate data into clear insights for HR partners, business leaders, and executives. You should be highly collaborative, curious, and skilled at navigating challenging conversations while driving constructive outcomes.
Desired qualifications include a Master's degree in Business Analytics, MBA, Economics, or Human Resources Management; CCP certification; working knowledge of international compensation practices across 30+ countries; SQL/Python/Tableau/Shareworks; equity management experience; executive compensation expertise; and deep Workday understanding.
