fal is building the generative media ecosystem powering the next generation of AI products. The company provides infrastructure, tools, and model access that enable teams to move from idea to production at scale. fal serves developers, enterprises, and creative technologists building AI-native applications. The Community Growth Manager will own and scale fal's developer and creator community across all channels. This is a hands-on role that combines community building, developer relations, and content creation to grow a thriving network of builders in generative media. Key responsibilities include: - Building and owning the developer relations and community program across Discord, Reddit, and in-person events - Developing a network of power users, hackers, and creators who test new tools, provide feedback, and showcase projects - Owning recurring programming including monthly events, workshops, webinars, hackathons, and creator competitions - Creating demos, example projects, prompt guides, tutorials, and walkthroughs - Supporting product and model launches through community activations and early access programs - Partnering with Engineering and product teams to surface developer feedback - Finding and amplifying interesting builders and projects across the ecosystem - Collaborating with Marketing on launches and in-person programming Required qualifications: - Proven experience building a developer, creator, or technical community program from the ground up, ideally at a fast-growing startup - Deep familiarity with and enthusiasm for generative media (image, video, audio, multimodal models) - Technical comfort with APIs, models, developer tools, and ability to communicate with engineers - Strong creative instincts and understanding of what excites creators and hackers - Experience running hackathons, meetups, workshops, webinars, or similar developer programs - Ability to create hands-on resources like demos, tutorials, and example projects - Resourceful, scrappy, and proactive approach to problem-solving - Strong relationship-building skills and comfort representing the company online and in person Nice-to-have skills include existing networks in generative AI or creative technology, experience with model labs or open-source communities, ability to build prototypes with Python or JavaScript, technical content creation experience, and a track record of personal projects or hackathon participation.
