White Circle is an AI Safety company building the safety, reliability, and optimization layer for AI systems. The platform uses policies—simple natural-language rules—to define what AI models should and shouldn't do, automatically testing, enforcing, and continuously improving them at scale. The company has raised $70M in Series A funding from top-tier investors including founders and leaders from OpenAI, Anthropic, HuggingFace, Mistral, DeepMind, Datadog, and Sentry. They process over 100 million API calls monthly and fine-tune their own LLMs for superior performance and cost efficiency.
As Communications Designer, you will shape how White Circle looks and feels across the website, product, and brand. Your responsibilities include:
- Design landing pages from concept through polished, responsive final designs
- Develop visual languages, patterns, graphic systems, and illustrations for use across website and product
- Evolve the White Circle brand and make it recognizable across different surfaces
- Bring brand ideas into the product and find ways for the product itself to express the brand
- Create concepts for motion, interactions, animations, and dynamic experiences
- Design visuals for launches, campaigns, social media, events, and other brand moments
- Explore new visual directions and turn rough ideas into strong creative concepts
- Work closely with product, engineering, and research teams to ensure ideas ship to production
- Move fluidly between concept, art direction, and pixel-level execution
You'll work with a small, highly focused team that moves fast with no corporate politics. The role offers meaningful equity, flexible PTO aligned with local regulations, all necessary hardware and tools, and twice-yearly team off-sites (recent locations: the Alps and Saint-Tropez).
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years of experience in a similar design role
- Strong portfolio across brand and digital design, especially web
- Excellent visual taste with deep care for typography, composition, layout, and details
- Proficiency designing for the web with understanding of responsive layouts beyond desktop
- Ability to create graphics and illustrations and experiment with different visual styles
- Understanding of motion and how static visuals could move and behave
- Ability to take projects from rough concept to polished result independently
- Curiosity about technology, AI, and design-software intersections
- Clear communication, independent work style, and ability to move quickly
