Turnitin is seeking a Commercial Finance Manager to join its FP&A function in a UK-remote role. This position sits at the intersection of finance, sales operations, and data analytics, offering deep exposure to commercial and operational metrics across a global edtech platform serving 16,000+ institutions in 185 countries. You will own the end-to-end management of complex, multi-tiered sales commission and incentive structures, ensuring accuracy and alignment with commercial contracts. A core responsibility is building and maintaining interactive Tableau dashboards that democratize financial data and provide real-time performance metrics to sales leaders and executives. You'll also administer specialized sales incentive platforms (SPIFF) to streamline payouts and model new compensation plans. Beyond dashboards and commissions, you'll provide value-adding financial insight and challenge across the business, supporting sales performance analysis, revenue recognition, and commercial initiatives. You'll identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy in how commercial data is captured and reported. Ad hoc analysis requests from the FP&A team, senior managers, and executives are part of the role, and you'll work cross-functionally to clarify ownership of processes and outputs. The ideal candidate has 6–8 years in commercial finance, revenue analysis, or FP&A roles. Advanced Tableau skills are essential; you must be comfortable manipulating large, complex datasets and building executive-level dashboards. Direct experience calculating and managing complex sales commissions and multi-tiered incentive schemes is required. Strong exposure to revenue recognition principles, sales pipelines, and SaaS business models is critical. Experience with modern sales incentive platforms (Spiff, CaptivateIQ, Xactly) is highly desirable, along with solid Excel and CRM (e.g., Salesforce) skills. CIMA, ACCA, or ACA qualification (or equivalent) is preferred but not essential. You are a self-starter comfortable in fast-paced, remote environments, with excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage tight deadlines. You thrive working both independently and cross-functionally. Occasional travel to the Newcastle office (approximately once every 1–2 months) is required for team collaboration and planning days. Turnitin offers a remote-first culture, comprehensive benefits, and a diverse, mission-driven team unified by a desire to improve global education.
