Salary: USD 70,304 - 89,535 / annual
WelbeHealth is seeking a Coding Auditor & Educator to join its PACE (All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) program. Reporting to the Coding Supervisor, you will ensure coding accuracy and clinical documentation compliance while educating clinical teams on best practices.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conduct retrospective and concurrent coding audits for PACE dual-eligible participants
- Perform pre-visit chart preparations and post-visit chart reviews to identify documentation gaps
- Oversee compliance audits and lead provider education programs focused on CMS risk adjustment diagnosis coding guidelines
- Collaborate with the Coding Supervisor to identify and design HCC (Hierarchical Condition Category) coding education initiatives
- Apply expertise in ICD-10 coding standards and M.E.A.T. (Monitoring, Evaluation, Assessment, Treatment) concepts
Required qualifications:
- Minimum 4 years of healthcare coding and auditing experience (or combination of education and experience)
- Minimum 2 years of Risk Adjustment (HCC) coding in a managed care environment
- Current active credential: CCS, CCS-P, CPC, CPC-H, CPMA, or CRC
- Strong proficiency with ICD-10 coding standards and M.E.A.T. application
- Associates degree preferred; relevant experience may substitute
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
