Salary: USD 120,000 - 140,000 / annual
Tempus is seeking a Clinical Account Executive to drive laboratory sales revenue in the rare disease genetic diagnostics space, covering Northern New Jersey and Northern New York. You will manage a defined sales territory, building and expanding relationships with hospitals, specialty clinics, and physician offices to promote Ambry's portfolio of genetic diagnostic testing services.
In this role, you will advocate the clinical and financial benefits of genetic testing products to diverse stakeholders including MDs, nurses, genetic counselors, and laboratory staff. You'll manage complex sales cycles involving multiple decision-makers, negotiate contracts, introduce new testing products, and develop demand for emerging assays. Success requires sophistication in handling relationships with industry thought leaders and navigating the dynamics between laboratory, clinical, and genetic counseling teams.
Key responsibilities include managing and growing business in existing accounts, expanding test menu utilization, selling to new customers, developing customer-specific action plans, delivering presentations, supporting trade shows, and maintaining accurate customer data in the CRM. You will be expected to achieve quarterly and annual sales goals while maintaining strong territory management.
Required qualifications: 3+ years selling laboratory services to clinicians/hospitals or medical device sales experience; Bachelor's degree; proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM systems; proven track record selling complex laboratory testing portfolios across multiple medical specialties; strong networking and relationship development skills; excellent oral and written communication; formal sales training (SPIN Selling or similar); valid driver's license; and residency in the designated territory.
Preferred: existing relationships within the Northern NJ/NY territory.
