Brodie League is a fast-growing adult recreational basketball league operating across 30+ locations with 50,000 athletes. As a City Launcher, you will open and operate a new Brodie market in Miami, serving as the face of the brand in your neighbourhood and building a thriving community around the league. This role blends community building, sales, and growth marketing. You will recruit a minimum of 24 founding captains from your existing network, identify and negotiate gym venues, and drive local demand through social media, events, and partnerships. You own the full launch sequence: validating the market, proving the business model, and growing it season over season. As your track record builds, you will expand into adjacent cities within your territory. You will attend every game night (typically 7pm–midnight), build genuine relationships with captains and players, monitor league health (retention, team count, waitlist), and partner with Operations on execution while retaining ownership of growth and revenue. You will also help develop the repeatable launch playbook that future Brodie cities will use. This is fundamentally a community role first, sales second, and growth marketing third. Success depends on deep, authentic relationships in your neighbourhood's basketball scene—not sales credentials alone. You will work closely with leadership across operations, growth, brand, and people. REQUIREMENTS: - Live in the Miami neighbourhood you are launching in, or directly adjacent (not just the metro area). - Existing network in the local basketball community: coaches, trainers, gym staff, run organizers, tournament organizers, group-chat admins. - Currently active in the game: playing in a rec league now or last season, in a gym weekly. Participant, not spectator. - Standing and credibility in your scene: when you recommend something, people move. - Ability to name your first ten captains by name and credibility to get them on the phone. - Comfort building demand from zero (events, social, partnerships, word of mouth) with minimal budget. - Ability to close: can ask a facility owner for a time slot and a captain for a deposit, and manage conversations from first touch to signature. - Comfort owning numbers, working in CRM, and adopting new tools quickly. - Availability on evenings and weekends (game nights run 7pm–midnight). - Willingness to travel across your territory as it expands. Nice to Have: - Experience running a run, league, tournament, training group, or community program. - Experience running social media for a local brand, venue, team, or community. - Background in sports, events, hospitality, fitness, lifestyle, or entertainment. - Experience selling partnerships, sponsorships, memberships, or experiential products. - 3+ years in sales, partnerships, community management, or growth (not a filter; network and credibility prioritized over title history).
