Brodie League is a fast-growing adult recreational basketball league with 50,000+ athletes across 30+ locations. As a City Launcher, you will open and operate a new Brodie market in Dallas, serving as the face of the brand in your neighborhood. You will recruit a minimum of 24 founding team captains from your existing local basketball community network, identify and negotiate a suitable venue, and build demand from zero through social media, events, and partnerships. This is fundamentally a community-building role that requires deep local credibility and participation in the basketball scene—not just sales expertise. Core responsibilities include: - Recruiting founding captains by leveraging your existing relationships with coaches, trainers, gym staff, run organizers, and community leaders - Walking into gyms and courts where you are already a familiar face to bring Brodie into established spaces - Identifying, evaluating, and negotiating gym venues; proving demand before signing leases - Owning the local social media presence and demand-generation strategy leading up to launch - Hosting open runs and events to convert interest into signed teams - Building local distribution partnerships with trainers, shops, barbershops, and run pages - Attending all game nights and building genuine relationships with captains, players, and families - Monitoring league health (retention, team count, waitlist, feedback) and managing growth and revenue - Contributing to the repeatable launch playbook for future Brodie cities - Expanding into adjacent cities as your territory grows and track record earns them You will report to the Sr. Director of Growth and work closely with operations, brand, and people teams. The role requires in-market presence including evenings and weekends (game nights run roughly 7pm to midnight). REQUIREMENTS: - Live in the Dallas neighborhood you will launch in, or directly adjacent (not just the metro area) - Existing network in the local basketball community: coaches, trainers, gym staff, run organizers, tournament organizers, group-chat admins - Currently active in the game: playing in a rec league now or last season, in a gym weekly - Standing and credibility in your scene such that when you recommend something, people move - Ability to name your first ten captains and credibility to get them on the phone - Comfort building demand from zero (events, social, partnerships, word of mouth) with minimal budget - Ability to close: can ask facility owners and captains for commitments and manage conversations from first touch through signature - Comfort owning numbers, working in CRM, and adopting new tools quickly - Availability on evenings and weekends - Willingness to travel across your territory as it expands NICE TO HAVE: - Experience running a run, league, tournament, training group, or community program - Experience running social media for a local brand, venue, team, or community - Background in sports, events, hospitality, fitness, lifestyle, or entertainment - Experience selling partnerships, sponsorships, memberships, or experiential products - 3+ years in sales, partnerships, community management, or growth (not a filter; credibility and network valued over title history)
