Belong Health is a venture-backed healthtech company reimagining Medicare Advantage and Special Needs Plans for seniors through data-driven clinical intervention and empathetic patient experience. The Chief Product Officer will own the complete product portfolio, including core health plan systems (enrollment, care management, member/provider engagement, quality reporting, risk adjustment) and next-generation AI capabilities including agentic systems.
Key responsibilities include: setting product vision and roadmap with clear sequencing and delivery timelines; making strategic build/buy/partner decisions for core systems and vendor platforms; designing and delivering AI capabilities across care management, utilization management, claims workflows, and back-office operations; establishing quality standards and human oversight protocols for all AI systems touching regulated or member-facing work; managing data governance for protected health information in AI systems; tracking market developments to inform build vs. buy decisions; ensuring platform compliance with CMS requirements and Model of Care obligations; optimizing cost-to-serve while maintaining service levels; running planning and release management across product and engineering; setting and reporting product metrics (adoption, cycle time, defects, cost, partner satisfaction); managing vendor relationships and contracts; serving as product voice in partner diligence and contracting; and translating partner requirements into roadmap priorities without platform fragmentation.
The role includes direct reports in product management, design, and technical leadership. The CPO will hire and coach a small senior team, partner with clinical/operations/actuarial/finance/compliance leaders on shared goals, and contribute to company strategy as a senior leadership team member. This is a hands-on position: the CPO will write specifications, attend partner meetings, and actively shape the platform alongside engineering and clinical teams. Belong operates across the United States with approximately 85 employees.
