Panorama Education is a fast-growing edtech startup at the intersection of education, technology, and AI. With 15 million students (1 in 4 nationally) using Panorama across 2,000+ school districts and 10 state agencies, the company is backed by Y Combinator, Owl Ventures, Emerson Collective, Uncork Capital, and General Atlantic.
As Chief of Staff to the CEO, you will be a central operator responsible for translating the company's ambitious vision into clear strategy, strong execution, and rigorous operations. You'll work on hard, ambiguous problems that matter for Panorama's future and lead important growth initiatives that change the company's trajectory.
Key responsibilities include:
**Run the Operating System**: Design and run the rhythms that keep the Executive Team aligned, accountable, and moving at speed—weekly staff meetings, quarterly planning, annual strategy and goal-setting. You'll eliminate overhead that drains momentum through clarity, proactively surface problems before they become fires, and iterate the operating system to ensure effectiveness.
**Staff the CEO**: Help the CEO focus on work that matters most by organizing and protecting his time, taking work off his plate, and keeping an eye on operations across the business. You'll prepare him for external meetings with superintendents, state leaders, foundation executives, board members, investors, and media.
**Lead Strategic Initiatives**: Drive high-impact initiatives that open new growth or fix operational issues. Own them end-to-end—diagnosis, alignment, execution, and close. Examples include evaluating M&A opportunities, running philanthropic fundraising efforts, drafting cross-functional strategies, planning executive offsites, and fixing operational issues.
**Write in the CEO's Voice**: Draft team talking points, investor updates, board materials, and customer follow-ups. You'll learn how the CEO thinks and write things he can send with minimal edits.
**See & Act on Organizational Signals**: Have the pulse of the organization by talking to product teams, dropping into customer calls, picking up on organizational tensions, and understanding what's working and what's broken. Bring insights back to the CEO with a clear point of view and recommendations.
**Thought Partner to Leadership**: Be a strong thought partner to the Executive Team and senior leaders. You'll know enough about GTM, finance, product strategy, and talent to ask hard questions, challenge thinking when it isn't crisp, and broker alignment across functions.
You'll work from any US time zone (CEO is Pacific-based), with 15-20% travel.
