OpenGov is seeking a Chief of Staff to the CEO to serve as a strategic partner and operator at the center of company decision-making. You will own the company's operating cadence, including all-hands meetings, executive leadership team meetings, and quarterly offsites. You'll drive the company's goal-setting process end-to-end, from OKR framework design through progress tracking and accountability. A core responsibility is triaging and managing competing priorities for the CEO—synthesizing complex inputs, framing decision options, and surfacing key insights to inform executive choices.
You will conduct financial and operational analyses to diagnose business challenges and recommend scalable solutions, partner with Finance on review cycles and headcount planning, and lead cross-functional strategic initiatives from problem definition to resolution. The role requires strong communication and relationship-building across the Executive Leadership Team and external stakeholders, with particular emphasis on clarity, precision, and building trust. You'll develop and document internal processes for communications and operations, work closely with the CEO's Executive Assistant to prioritize calendar and tasks, and maintain the highest standards of confidentiality and ethical conduct.
The ideal candidate brings a Bachelor's degree (MBA preferred), strong financial acumen with demonstrated ability to interpret P&L statements and headcount plans, and proven experience managing complex cross-functional projects end-to-end. You should be comfortable with AI-enabled tools and willing to champion their adoption. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, strong analytical capabilities, and a passion for OpenGov's mission of powering effective and accountable government are essential. Prior experience in investment banking, private equity, or management consulting is preferred.
