Treeswift is a physical AI company empowering energy utilities to modernize field operations. The company builds hardware and software solutions—combining LiDAR, cameras, sensors, and AI—that increase field worker productivity by 10x. Since launching in June 2024, Treeswift has grown to work with three of the five largest US utilities, helping reduce wildfire risk, regulatory exposure, and outage recovery time. The company is backed by leading investors including Penny Pritzker's Inspired Capital and is headquartered in midtown Manhattan with offices in San Francisco and Philadelphia.
As Chief of Staff to the CEO, you will serve as a strategic extension of the CEO's judgment, network, and execution capacity—not an administrative role. Your primary mission is to multiply the CEO's effectiveness across three dimensions:
**External Relationship Management:** Own the CEO's external operating system, including proactive identification of high-value relationships with utility executives, board members, investors, and strategic partners. Build and maintain a structured pipeline of executive relationships, manage the CEO's calendar strategically, prepare thoughtful briefs before important meetings, and ensure consistent follow-up. You'll become a trusted face of Treeswift within the utility industry, attending conferences and customer meetings to expand the network and identify opportunities.
**Cross-Functional Strategic Execution:** Drive high-priority strategic projects that cut across the company—including board materials, fundraising preparation, strategic partnerships, and special initiatives. Run executive operating rhythms, leadership meetings, and planning sessions. Identify bottlenecks before they become problems and serve as connective tissue across the leadership team to keep priorities aligned and execution on track.
**Internal and External Communication:** Draft communications on the CEO's behalf, including board updates, investor narratives, internal memos, and company-wide announcements. Prepare materials for board meetings and strategic reviews. Represent the CEO credibly in front of clients and partners.
This role requires high agency—you notice what should happen next and make it happen without waiting for direction. You'll work in a hybrid environment from the NYC office with regular travel alongside the CEO. The ideal candidate has genuine relationship-building skills, existing credibility in utility or energy executive circles (or a demonstrated ability to build it quickly), and an MBA or equivalent consulting experience.
