ID.me is hiring a Chief of Staff for Product to serve as a senior strategic and organizational partner to the VP of Product. The role strengthens operating effectiveness of the Product organization by connecting company strategy, portfolio priorities, cross-functional execution, leadership cadence, launch governance, and executive decision-making. The Chief of Staff holds a standing seat in Product leadership forums and owns mechanisms that connect strategic inputs into a coherent portfolio view, surface risks and tradeoffs early, and drive clear decisions across Product, Engineering, Design, Product Operations, Operations, and Go-to-Market teams.
Key responsibilities include: (1) Product Strategy & Roadmap Alignment—partner with VP of Product and leaders to drive annual/quarterly planning, translate company strategy into clear priorities and measurable outcomes, roll up team roadmaps into comparable views, track committed dates, surface material changes and dependencies, and own intake for requests to the Product organization; (2) Operating Cadence & Executive Communications—run Product leadership meeting cadence and execution reviews, own executive communications including consolidated roadmap and weekly status reporting, prepare VP of Product for key decisions with synthesized context and recommendations; (3) Cross-Functional Execution & Launch Excellence—drive execution of high-priority cross-team initiatives by clarifying ownership and resolving operational breakdowns, establish launch governance covering readiness and day-one instrumentation, continuously improve the Product operating model; (4) Organizational Effectiveness—act as force multiplier and proxy for VP of Product, absorb work that doesn't require direct attention, serve as candid advisor.
