Giga is a Series A AI startup ($61M raised) building real-time AI agents for enterprise customer experience and operations. The company works with Fortune 500 customers like DoorDash to deploy voice, chat, and email automation in regulated, high-stakes environments. You'll join as Chief of Staff to the CEO—the company's most trusted operator and thought partner.
You'll own the executive office and serve as a force multiplier for the CEO, absorbing strategic and operational weight across board prep, fundraising, planning rhythms, cross-functional execution, and high-stakes initiatives. You're not a coordinator; you're the organizational connective tissue between the CEO and all internal and external stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include:
**Executive Office & CEO Leverage:** Build and lead daily executive office operations, processes, and rhythms. Act as an extension of the CEO with internal and external stakeholders, assessing incoming inquiries and routing them appropriately. Serve as the primary point of contact for the CEO's direct reports and manage the CEO's external brand and reputation with investors, customers, and the ecosystem.
**Operating Rhythm & Planning:** Build and run cadence for leadership meetings, board meetings, and offsites. Drive quarterly planning cycles, OKRs, leadership reviews, and company-wide communications. Own the company operating dashboard—define metrics, instrument them, track weekly, and flag slipping goals. Design meetings to be decisive with sharper agendas and ruthless follow-through.
**Cross-Functional Execution:** Lead strategic initiatives end-to-end spanning Engineering, GTM, and Operations, especially work that falls between departments. Proactively track high-priority initiatives, surface blockers and dependencies early, and follow up with owners using actionable recommendations. Promote team integration and cross-functional collaboration.
**Board, Investors & Stakeholder Management:** Own board cadence including deck production, narrative, data room, and prep. Support fundraising through modeling, materials, and diligence coordination. Build processes to track and nurture key relationships with investors, customers, and strategic partners. Synthesize business performance, risks, and decisions into crisp external communications.
**Strategic Advisory:** Serve as a genuine thought partner to the CEO, challenging assumptions and helping think through high-impact decisions with analysis, options, and clear recommendations. Maintain focus on long-term planning and strategic priorities amid day-to-day demands.
First 90 days: By day 30, you'll have absorbed the operating cadence, mapped functional gaps, removed two recurring time-sinks from the CEO's plate, and established yourself as the go-to for CEO office matters. By day 60, the company dashboard is live, you're running weekly metrics reviews, and people come to you instead of the CEO for status. By day 90, planning cycles are tighter, leadership meetings more decisive, strategic initiatives stay moving across boundaries, and the CEO has visibly more leverage.
The hiring process is short and intense: founder screen, deep-dive case study using a real Giga problem, reference calls, and a paid trial day on-site.
**Requirements:**
- 3–7 years of demonstrated impact in BizOps, strategy, or operator roles at high-velocity companies (frontier AI labs, top-tier startups, or consulting/banking-to-operator path). Emphasis on what you owned and the delta you created, not résumé credentials.
- AI-native: you've shipped or operated close to LLM products and understand eval and inference economics well enough to be dangerous.
- Exceptional writer and thinker. Muddy writing signals muddy thinking.
- Superb judgment with confidential information, competing priorities, and executive-level relationships (internal and external).
- Proven track record leading complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives from ambiguous start to clean finish.
- High floor under pressure; you hold the line when things are on fire.
- Low ego, high ownership—you don't need credit, you need things to get done.
