Ceribell is a medical technology company transforming the diagnosis and management of serious neurological conditions through its novel point-of-care EEG platform. The company's rapid seizure detection technology is deployed across hundreds of community hospitals, academic facilities, and major integrated delivery networks.
This Chief of Staff role supports the VP of Information Security in driving alignment and execution across a broad security and compliance portfolio spanning Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC), FedRAMP, IT Operations, Business Systems, and Security Engineering. The ideal candidate combines program-management rigor with strong judgment on security, risk, and compliance topics, operating as a trusted extension of the VP across the organization.
Key responsibilities include partnering with the VP to shape and execute security strategy; advising on organizational design, resourcing, and prioritization across five teams; driving cross-team execution of cybersecurity and compliance initiatives (FedRAMP High, HIPAA, SOC 2, SOX ITGC, NIST 800-53); overseeing continuous monitoring cadences and audit-readiness activities; managing third-party risk and vendor escalations; serving as liaison between the VP and executives, department leaders, auditors, and vendors; preparing Board and executive-level materials on security posture and emerging risks; building reporting dashboards for compliance status, TPRM tracking, and organizational metrics; and driving complex cross-functional initiatives including org design changes, tooling evaluations, and process redesigns.
Required qualifications include 8+ years in strategic or executive support, chief of staff, or program management roles (3-5 years supporting senior technology or security leaders); demonstrated experience in cybersecurity, IT, or compliance program management with working familiarity of NIST frameworks; exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities; strong executive communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences; high professionalism and discretion; advanced problem-solving and strategic thinking in complex environments; U.S. citizenship (FedRAMP requirement); and identity verification clearance.
Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Technology Management, Computer Science, or related field (MBA a plus); industry certifications such as CISA, CISSP, or PMP; experience with Jira, Notion, Tenable, or Splunk; and familiarity with AWS, GCP, and identity platforms like Okta.
