Salary: USD 263,900 - 448,600 / annual

ServiceNow is transforming its marketing function from a campaign-driven organization to one run with business discipline and strategic rigor. The Chief of Staff, Head of Marketing Strategy & Operations will lead this evolution, sitting at the intersection of classic Chief of Staff responsibilities and operational excellence. Reporting to the CMO, you will own the business of marketing—building the operating model, planning rhythm, and performance systems that connect strategy to execution and drive measurable business results. Key responsibilities include: • Running the Office of the CMO: Build and maintain the strategic hub that keeps the marketing leadership team aligned, focused, and synchronized with company objectives. • Driving focus and accountability: Translate company goals into clear marketing priorities, budgets, and metrics directly tied to pipeline and revenue. Simplify operations to accelerate delivery. • Leading transformation: Establish frameworks, processes, and governance that make marketing more agile and accountable. Manage change and build capabilities across the function. • Overseeing the Marketing AI Center of Excellence: Drive AI adoption, governance, and innovation across strategy, content, and execution at scale. • Cross-functional partnership: Work with Sales, Finance, and IT to define how ServiceNow engages enterprise buying groups and operationalize measurement. • Program management: Lead major initiatives end-to-end, setting ownership, maintaining momentum, and ensuring measurable outcomes. • M&A integration: Prepare and execute seamless marketing integrations across teams and customer touchpoints. • Enterprise representation: Serve as marketing's voice in company forums (Workforce Planning, AI Value Steering, etc.), ensuring alignment on priorities, resources, and business impact. • Team leadership: Build, develop, and inspire a high-performing organization that operates marketing as a world-class business. Success means marketing runs with precision and discipline, the Office of the CMO becomes the center of clarity, strategy and execution are fully connected to business outcomes, and the organization moves faster while delivering measurable results. Minimum 2 days per week in Santa Clara office required. REQUIREMENTS: • 15+ years leading marketing operations, strategy, or transformation in global, matrixed organizations • Proven track record scaling complex systems with clarity, speed, and discipline • Deep expertise in planning, budgeting, performance management, and marketing ROI • Demonstrated success leading transformation initiatives—simplifying complexity, modernizing processes, driving accountability • Experience leading senior teams across operations, planning, and emerging capabilities like AI • Strong communication and influencing skills; ability to lead confidently across all organizational levels • Calm, steady leadership style that brings focus and forward momentum
