The Chief of Staff, People role directly supports the Chief People Officer and serves as a trusted strategic advisor and operator for the People organization. This is a high-impact position that bridges strategy and execution across a complex, cross-functional team.
Key responsibilities include:
• Serve as thought partner and trusted advisor to the CPO, helping pressure-test priorities, evaluate tradeoffs, anticipate challenges, and surface insights to inform high-quality decisions.
• Shape the People organization's strategic narrative by articulating strategy, priorities, progress, and impact in clear, compelling ways grounded in business context.
• Drive clarity and execution against People organization priorities, partnering with the People Leadership Team and initiative owners to ensure alignment and effective execution.
• Run the People organization's operating rhythm, managing key cadences including leadership meetings, offsites, annual planning, and business reviews.
• Prepare executive-ready content including presentations, narratives, leadership updates, and decision support materials for the CPO and broader People organization.
• Act as connective tissue across the People leadership team, improving information flow, surfacing risks and dependencies, and ensuring shared context and aligned priorities.
• Own special projects from problem definition through execution, independently structuring work, driving analysis, aligning stakeholders, and delivering outcomes on high-priority, ambiguous, or time-sensitive initiatives.
• Represent the CPO's voice and priorities in cross-functional forums, exercising sound judgment on when to decide, escalate, seek input, or drive work forward independently.
The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of experience in business management, HR/People strategy, Chief of Staff roles, or related positions in high-growth technology, fintech, or complex operating environments. You should have demonstrated understanding of how People organizations operate, experience as a strategic partner to executive leadership, exceptional storytelling and synthesis skills, and the ability to operate independently in a senior executive environment with strong judgment and discretion.
