Coursera (recently merged with Udemy) is seeking a Chief of Staff to the CTO to serve as a strategic integrator and operational leader for the technology organization. This role sits at the intersection of strategy and execution, responsible for translating company strategy into cohesive operating systems that drive alignment, accountability, and results across multiple engineering and tech teams.
Key responsibilities include designing and improving frameworks for planning, governance, decision-making, and resource allocation within the Tech organization. You will manage the CTO's operating rhythm, oversee KPI reviews, and drive the strategic and operational planning system that enables effective management of a large, complex team. The role involves leading cross-functional alignment initiatives, ensuring shared accountability for results, and strengthening the leadership system within the Tech organization.
You will partner with executive-enabling functions (People, Finance, Administration) to drive strategic change initiatives, oversee a portfolio of strategic projects, and steer large, complex, cross-functional initiatives to completion. Employee engagement and internal communications are also key, including fostering a positive, inclusive work environment and ensuring team alignment and motivation.
The Chief of Staff will create connections between the CTO's organization and adjacent functions to accelerate decision-making, remove friction, and enable sustained growth and agility. This is a high-impact role that requires strong operational discipline, strategic thinking, and the ability to work effectively with senior leadership across the organization.
