Salary: USD 180,000 - 210,000 / annual
Verse Medical is a Series C healthtech company (backed by General Catalyst, SignalFire, and Sapphire Ventures) building modern software infrastructure to connect providers, payors, and patients, enabling hospital-quality care delivery at home and in outpatient settings.
You will serve as Chief of Staff reporting to the Head of the Office of the CEO, partnering closely with the CEO to drive critical company initiatives and ensure operational excellence. This is a pivotal role with a bird's-eye view of the entire organization, positioning you as a key advisor, operational executor, and problem-solver.
Key responsibilities include:
- Summarizing and preparing materials for leadership meetings, working closely with the founder
- Analyzing meeting data to identify where the CEO should focus time and energy
- Tracking progress on major company projects and initiatives, addressing blockers and ensuring deadlines are met
- Maintaining escalation systems for emerging issues
- Conducting fact-finding investigations and preparing comprehensive reports with recommendations
- Diving into analytics and reporting to uncover insights and drive improvements
- Acting as gatekeeper for the CEO's time and energy, ensuring focus on critical priorities
- Representing the CEO in meetings as necessary and ensuring directives are executed
- Driving operational improvements across the company to ensure processes are effective and scalable
- Managing follow-up on deadlines and commitments to ensure accountability
- Serving as an audit function for the Office of the CEO, providing objective views of organizational health
- Running operational aspects of the CEO's role end-to-end as needed
Within your first year, you will have significant impact on how the leadership team prioritizes work, how the organization operates, and how effectively the CEO can focus on strategic initiatives.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in an analytical or business-related field (or equivalent experience)
- 4+ years of relevant experience in technology, consulting, operations, strategy, or similar roles
- Strong work ethic: willingness to work 55-60 hours per week regularly, including weekend work (primarily Sundays)
- Analytical excellence: highly skilled in data analysis and synthesizing complex information into actionable insights
- Detail-oriented: exceptional organizational skills with process-driven mindset; work must be consistently defect-free without double-checking
- Problem-solving: ability to identify issues and propose solutions independently
- Communication: excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to represent the CEO effectively in various forums
