Turion Space seeks a Chief of Staff to serve as a force multiplier for the co-founder and CEO. This is an operator role requiring someone who can write, research, build, and run programs at the CEO's pace across all company functions. Key responsibilities include: owning high-stakes internal and external content from the CEO's office (company communications, all-hands materials, board narratives, articles, talks); acting as product and program manager for CEO-launched initiatives, scoping efforts and driving cross-functional execution; identifying and recruiting permanent owners for new initiatives before handing off; conducting market research, competitive intelligence, and M&A evaluation; tracking CEO commitments and coordinating follow-ups; serving as the CEO's travel partner on customer, government, investor, and conference trips; identifying organizational bottlenecks and driving solutions; and managing the executive assistant team supporting the CEO and leadership. Minimum qualifications: 5+ years in high-tempo, high-ownership roles (startup/business operations, management consulting, banking, corporate development, military, founder, or program management in technical organizations); exceptional writing and communication skills for executive audiences; demonstrated success owning ambiguous, cross-functional projects end-to-end with minimal direction; strong research and analytical capabilities; technical fluency and comfort with spacecraft engineers; high discretion with sensitive information (fundraising, M&A, personnel); willingness to work on-site in Irvine and travel for multi-night trips on short notice. Preferred qualifications include aerospace/defense/deep tech hardware experience, familiarity with U.S. government customers and contracting, prior chief of staff or CEO office experience, hands-on M&A or investment diligence work, experience managing administrative and executive staff, and a technical degree or MBA. Full-time, exempt position. ITAR requirements apply; applicant must be a U.S. citizen, national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee, or be eligible to obtain required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
