OpenFX is a fintech infrastructure company building cross-border payment systems for institutions. The company is scaling from 180 people across five offices (Dubai, Bangalore, London, Amsterdam, Miami) toward 300 employees, with monthly TPV growing from $8B to $20B+. The business model is proven and strategy is clear; the constraint has shifted from strategic decisions to reliable execution. As Chief of Staff, you serve as the force multiplier for the entire executive team and internal operations. You own the executive operating system end-to-end: leadership syncs, strategic planning calendars, executive offsites, and bi-annual planning cycles. You maintain the single source of truth for every leadership commitment and hold executives accountable for delivery timelines. A significant part of this role requires technical depth. OpenFX is engineering-heavy and transitioning from a single-product to multi-product company with constrained engineering capacity. You must understand product and engineering deeply enough to hold teams to real prioritization discipline, detect when answers don't hold up, and identify coordination gaps that create delays. Key responsibilities include: detecting cross-functional misalignment early and routing leaders to direct resolution; enforcing a single prioritization discipline across all functions with written tradeoff records; interrogating capacity estimates and timelines with credibility to challenge them before they become commitments; owning the quarterly planning cycle and OKR integrity; synthesizing weekly signal for the CEO across hiring, onboarding, revenue, engineering delivery, partnerships, and cultural health; gathering unfiltered information through skip-levels and hallway conversations; developing internal narrative and company communications; and identifying structural risks and breakpoints before they emerge as the company scales to 500+ people. You bring calibrated judgment about urgency, present observations with hypotheses and options rather than problems alone, and see around corners to anticipate organizational restructuring needs. Success is measured by rising conflict resolution without your mediation, improving prioritization discipline across functions, and ensuring top-level decisions actually close.
