NODA AI, a veteran-owned, venture-backed technology company, is seeking a Chief of Staff to serve as the operational right hand to the CEO and executive leadership team. The company develops next-generation autonomous orchestration solutions for unmanned systems across air, sea, land, and space, with applications in defense, intelligence, and commercial sectors. The Chief of Staff will sit at the center of NODA's executive function, serving as a force multiplier during a critical scaling phase. This is a strategic, high-impact role—not an administrative coordinator position. You will own the connective tissue keeping the company aligned, informed, and moving at pace, translating strategic intent into operational execution. Key responsibilities include: serving as a trusted strategic advisor to the CEO on business decisions and organizational priorities; owning the CEO's operating rhythm including calendar, meeting preparation, and action-item follow-through; leading board meeting and investor update preparation with materials development and narrative alignment; driving cross-functional strategic initiatives across Engineering, Product, Business Development, Finance, and People Operations; identifying and resolving misalignments and blockers before they escalate; designing and running the company's operating cadence (leadership syncs, quarterly business reviews, OKR processes, strategic planning); developing executive-level communications for internal and external audiences; partnering on organizational design and talent strategy; building relationships with investors, board members, customers, partners, and government officials; and leading special projects requiring cross-functional coordination. Required: 8+ years in chief of staff, strategy, management consulting, investment banking, business operations, or comparable executive-support roles; demonstrated experience partnering directly with C-suite leaders in high-growth or mission-critical environments; experience in defense, national security, aerospace, or regulated technical environments (or proven ability to ramp quickly); proven ability to manage cross-functional initiatives and drive decisions without direct authority; exceptional written and verbal communication skills; strong analytical and structured thinking; experience designing executive operating cadences; high integrity and discretion; U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain DoD security clearance. Preferred: active DoD security clearance (Secret or higher); prior military service or significant government/military experience; venture-backed startup or high-growth tech experience through Series A–C; management consulting, investment banking, or private equity background in defense/aerospace/national security; board and investor relations experience; federal acquisition familiarity. Location: Austin, TX (hybrid on-site with up to 20% travel for executive engagements, customer meetings, and strategic initiatives).
