Nirvana Insurance is transforming the $1 trillion commercial insurance industry using data and AI. The company has built predictive models leveraging 50B+ miles of proprietary IoT data, achieving >2x faster AI-powered underwriting and claims processing. With $300M+ run-rate, industry-leading loss ratios, and backing from marquee VCs including Lightspeed, General Catalyst, and Valor, Nirvana is expanding from an AI-native insurer into a broader platform transforming the entire insurance value chain.
As Chief of Staff, you will sit at the center of the business, working directly with the CEO (Rushil) on the most strategic initiatives across the company. This is not a coordination role but rather a high-impact position for someone who can operate in ambiguous, demanding environments with extremely high standards and the ability to move seamlessly from board-level strategy to execution detail.
Key responsibilities include: driving clarity around critical decisions and separating signal from noise; owning high-priority cross-functional projects without a natural home; scaling operating rhythms including business reviews, off-sites, and planning; proactively identifying and solving bottlenecks; and managing board and investor preparation.
The ideal candidate has 5+ years in high-ownership roles (consulting, finance, product, business operations, military, founder/CEO office), with previous founding experience strongly preferred. You should be a strategic and analytical thinker with strong communication skills, bias-to-action, and self-driven execution mindset. You thrive in high-growth environments with limited direction, demonstrate high judgment with sensitive information, and possess executive presence and influence to push back on experienced leaders when necessary.
This role is positioned as an accelerant to owning your own P&L within Nirvana or beyond, with success measured by progression to leadership ownership rather than tenure in the Chief of Staff position.
