Checkout.com is a global fintech payments platform processing over 10 billion transactions yearly for more than one billion shoppers. The company powers digital checkout experiences for major brands including eBay, Spotify, Klarna, Uber, and Sony, with 20 offices across six continents and headquarters in London. You will serve as Chief of Staff to the Chief Revenue Officer, reporting directly to the CRO who oversees Checkout.com's global revenue organization spanning Sales, Account Management, Partnerships, Solutions Engineering, Revenue Operations, and Pricing across all regions. This is a high-impact, operationally intensive role—not a back-office position. Key responsibilities include: • Act as the CRO's trusted advisor and thought partner, pressure-testing strategy, bringing independent perspective, and translating strategy into clear, owned actions • Represent the CRO in internal forums and make delegated decisions during their absences • Partner on deal strategy for largest merchants, orchestrating executive engagement to open or accelerate opportunities • Monitor global pipeline and forecast; hold revenue leaders accountable for numbers, inputs, and follow-ups; flag risks and opportunities early • Own the CRO's leadership cadence—meetings, business reviews, decision forums—ensuring clarity of purpose, decisions, and accountability • Serve as CRO's delegate for key approvals (pricing, offers, requisitions), applying frameworks consistently and escalating appropriately • Partner with Revenue Operations and Finance on annual/quarterly planning: targets, headcount, capacity, budgets, OKRs • Drive governance and prioritization of Commercial-wide hiring, aligning with revenue priorities and budget • Design and execute Commercial Leadership Summits and offsites • Serve as primary link between Commercial organization and Operations, Product, Finance, Legal, Compliance, Marketing, People leadership • Identify and resolve day-to-day Commercial team issues; frame clearly, convene stakeholders, push for decisions • Collaborate with Operations, Legal, Compliance on initiatives to reduce time-to-revenue for new merchants • Own high-priority strategic initiatives with clear revenue or efficiency targets involving multiple teams • Continuously challenge and simplify Commercial processes, governance, and tools to increase productivity, including through AI and automation • Prepare CRO for all key meetings and presentations (exec, board, all-hands, customer, external speaking) You will move fluidly from board-level strategy to merchant pricing decisions on the same day, requiring both strategic vision and commercial detail orientation. Requirements: • 5+ years in roles such as Chief of Staff, strategy consulting, commercial/revenue strategy, or business management, ideally in high-growth tech, fintech, or payments • Strong commercial instinct: understand revenue building through pipeline, pricing, unit economics, forecasting; comfortable with deal details • Sound judgment to exercise delegated authority on approvals, balancing commercial speed with discipline • Proven track record influencing senior leaders without formal authority; ability to handle disagreement and reach clear outcomes • Excellent structured thinking and communication; ability to reduce complex problems to clear recommendations; executive-ready writing • Critical thinker comfortable with data and financial models; uses them to support decisions • Excellent project and program management; ability to switch contexts without losing focus • Discretion with confidential people, commercial, and financial information • Low-ego, high-ownership mindset; comfortable both executing work and orchestrating others Workplace: Hybrid, three days per week in London office.
