The Chief of Staff is a strategic, high-leverage position reporting to Co-Founder & Co-CEO Kabir Shahani (70% focus) with support responsibilities to Co-CEO Derek Slager and President Amy Pelly (30%). This role sits at the center of the Office of the CEO and serves as a strategic thought partner and force multiplier.
Key responsibilities include: architecting an AI-native operating model for the executive office using modern AI tooling and agents; scoping and executing the Co-CEO's highest-priority strategic initiatives from conception through delivery; translating executive decisions into clear ownership structures and operational follow-through; cultivating high-value customer and partner relationships through executive programs and briefings; and drafting strategic communications that represent the office credibly.
You will be in the room for critical board, customer, investor, and leadership meetings, and accountable for driving strategy execution. The focus is amplifying the Co-CEO's agenda rather than managing day-to-day operations, which remain with business operating leaders.
Ideal candidates are AI-fluent operators who aggressively leverage AI tools in daily workflows, possess exceptional intellectual curiosity and judgment, and have demonstrated high trajectory in previous roles. You should be comfortable with ambiguity, excel at building robust analyses and market insights, and have experience leading sensitive corporate workstreams. The role is in-person in New York with travel as needed, primarily to Seattle.
