Octopus Energy, France's 5th largest energy supplier in just 10 years, is seeking a People Ops & HR Data Project Manager to join their Paris office. The company operates as a "noHR" organization—there is no centralized HR department. Instead, managers own their team responsibilities, and the People Ops team provides them with tools, data, and frameworks to operate autonomously.
In this role, you will be the architect of HR data infrastructure. Your primary focus is structuring and industrializing HR data to give managers clear, reliable, and actionable insights into their teams. You'll own a diverse portfolio of People Ops projects including tool deployment, process automation, documentation, compliance initiatives, and group-level projects.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building and maintaining HR data pipelines and dashboards that enable data-driven decision-making
- Designing and implementing HR technology solutions and automations
- Supporting HR/payroll administration and compliance requirements
- Collaborating with managers across the organization to understand their data and operational needs
- Documenting processes and best practices to scale People Ops capabilities
You thrive in fast-moving, low-process environments where you create structure rather than follow it. You have a strong technical and analytical mindset, with genuine enthusiasm for HR data and tools. You're comfortable wearing multiple hats—from data engineering to project management to occasional HR administration—and you see this variety as a strength. The role suits someone who wants to build something from the ground up rather than maintain existing systems.
Octopus Energy values authenticity and unique perspectives over conformity. You'll work in a supportive environment that moves quickly and prioritizes impact over bureaucracy.
