Pennylane is a high-growth French fintech that has raised €400M (backed by Sequoia and others) and serves 900,000+ SMEs and 6,000+ accounting firms across Europe. The company provides an all-in-one accounting and financial management platform designed to free accountants from repetitive tasks so they can focus on advisory and client relationships.
You will join the Partner Solutions Specialists team—composed entirely of former accountants—as a Functional Project Manager (PSS Front). This is a hybrid role based in Nantes with full remote flexibility. You are the expert interface between Pennylane and accounting firms during data migration projects, working in tandem with a technical counterpart (PSS Back) who handles integration and technical aspects.
Your core responsibilities include:
**Needs Analysis & Project Framing**: Plan and lead migration kickoff meetings, briefings, and retrospectives. Analyze functional requirements from the field, document user stories, and facilitate workshops and webinars on both domain-specific and cross-functional topics.
**Migration Project Management**: Ensure migrations follow clear, documented processes for all stakeholders. Adapt approaches while maintaining process integrity. Communicate alignment between technical solutions and business needs. Act as the primary liaison to the technical PSS Back team.
**Configuration & Testing**: Contribute to configuring Pennylane to match firms' existing workflows. Participate in functional testing to validate solutions meet requirements before go-live.
**Post-Migration Support**: Collaborate on debugging and resolving business issues post-migration. Conduct intermediate and final functional tests. Contribute to post-migration reports and improvement recommendations.
**Process Optimization**: Identify and prioritize automation and optimization opportunities. Implement improvements through documentation and concrete proposals. Track satisfaction metrics post-deployment.
**Continuous Improvement**: Monitor product and domain trends. Propose enhancements, flag gaps or issues, and translate needs into actionable solutions for internal and external stakeholders.
**Cross-functional Collaboration**: Understand technical team priorities and provide ad-hoc production support as needed.
You bring accounting expertise (IUT GEA, BTS CGO, DCG, DSCG, or Master CCA), hands-on cabinet experience ideally with prior migrations, strong oral and written communication, genuine customer service orientation, and the ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-moving environment. English A2 minimum required; B1+ preferred. Nice-to-haves include startup experience, strong synthesis and teaching skills, and proactive autonomy.
