Qonto, a European fintech serving over 600,000 SMEs across 8 countries, recently acquired Acasi to build an integrated banking and accounting platform. You will join a hypergrowth accounting department as Chef de mission Comptable, managing a team of 7–10 professionals (interns, juniors, and seniors) while maintaining your own client portfolio of independent entrepreneurs.
Your responsibilities span three core areas: (1) Team Management — supervise and develop your team members, ensuring productivity and career growth across varying seniority levels; (2) Client Advisory — serve as the primary trusted advisor to your clients on fiscal, financial, legal, and accounting matters, handling diverse profiles including freelancers, consultants, developers, independent HR professionals, e-commerce businesses, real estate agents, and holding companies; (3) Portfolio Delivery — manage client accounting, tax compliance (VAT, tax filings, account deposits), and leverage AI-powered tools to automate routine work; direct production represents ~30% of your time.
You will also act as a bridge between clients and the product team, feeding back client needs, frustrations, and feature requests to shape the evolution of the Acasi platform.
Required qualifications: accounting degree (DSCG, Master CCA, or equivalent mémorialiste certification); minimum 2 years of management experience in an accounting firm with demonstrated ability to mentor and develop team members; genuine interest in digital transformation and AI's impact on accounting; fluent French (client-facing) and minimum B1 English (tools and teams are partly English-language); and a mindset oriented toward building something new rather than maintaining status quo.
