Salary: USD 90,000 - 125,000 / annual

Adyen is a global financial technology platform providing payments, data, and financial products for enterprise customers including Meta, Uber, H&M, and Microsoft. The company is seeking a CDD Risk Analyst to join the Direct Customer Onboarding team, focusing on scaling the customer base in North America. In this hands-on role, you will execute Know-Your-Customer (KYC), Customer Due Diligence (CDD), and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) procedures. Your core responsibilities include collecting and analyzing customer information, documenting material changes to organizational structures and legal entities, performing KYC checks on merchants, and verifying relevant documentation. You will serve as the first point of contact for account onboarding, guiding merchants through the process while maintaining a detail-oriented, risk-based approach. You will collaborate across multiple internal teams—commercial, compliance, and product—to ensure customers remain compliant and up-to-date. A key aspect of the role is acting as an internal product advocate, driving process improvements and providing feedback on automation within workflows. You will also serve as an internal advisor for Direct Customer Onboarding questions within the local San Francisco office and broader North America team, while aligning with global teams to ensure consistency in risk assessments. The role emphasizes scalability, critical thinking, and operational excellence. You are expected to be detail-oriented, comfortable navigating ambiguity, and eager to solve operational problems. The position is based in the San Francisco office (office-first, not remote) and includes approximately 10% travel throughout the year. REQUIREMENTS: - 5+ years of experience in Customer Due Diligence, Enhanced Due Diligence, or KYC - Knowledge of payment risk concepts - Strong sense of responsibility and integrity - Curious mindset with ability to think outside the box - Strong affinity for AI and automation, with ability to leverage advanced tools for operational efficiency - Comfort navigating ambiguity in unstructured environments - Experience working with diverse teams and cultures - Clear communication skills with strong team orientation - Analytical and critical mindset supporting risk-based approach - Operational orientation with ability to drive cross-functional projects - Willingness to travel 10% of the time
